Auto-map recognizable fields
ShipFormat maps common recipient, address, phone, quantity, sender, item, dimension, and service columns. Columns it cannot identify are left blank for manual review.
Designed for browser-only processing
Source orders and target templates are parsed in the local browser and are not uploaded to ShipFormat. Account and billing services are separate from file conversion and do not receive spreadsheet contents.
What the current mapper can and cannot do
Free users can upload a custom CSV or XLSX target template, let ShipFormat read its headers, preview all converted rows, and export up to 20 rows. Recognised fields are mapped automatically. Manual field mapping, saved rules, reusable templates, batch conversion, and sender profiles are Pro workflow features.
Unrecognised target columns remain blank for review. ShipFormat does not promise compatibility with every carrier template, and using a custom template does not perform official carrier validation.

Which target template formats are supported?
The current custom-template workflow accepts CSV, XLSX, and XLS target files and reads the available column headers in the browser.
Can I preview a custom template on Free?
Yes. Free users can preview every converted row and export up to 20 rows. Pro is required for unrestricted exports and saved mapping workflows.
Does ShipFormat verify a carrier template?
No. It maps recognised fields into the uploaded headers. You still need to confirm the resulting file against the carrier or platform requirements.
